Request for payment methods

At Nippon Rent-A-Car, we request the following when paying the fare at the time of pick-up. Thank you for your understanding.

As a general rule, please pay with a credit card affiliated with our company.

• If you wish to pay in cash (including car rental points, electronic money that can be used at NIPPON Rent-A-Car, debit cards, etc.), please make sure to check either 1) below when using S-D Class or larger passenger cars, W-B Class or larger wagons, T-D Class or larger and R-E Class or larger trucks and specially equipped vehicles such as refrigerator cars and trucks with power gates, microbuses, or 1) below when using other classes and models of vehicles. When using a vehicle other than the above classes and models, either 1) or 2) below must be checked.
• *Debit cards and prepaid cards with Rakuten Edy and VISA/Master/JCB marks can be used.
  However, as with cash payments, confirmation of 1) or 2) below is required according to the above.
• *Cash payments may not be accepted depending on the region, time of day, vehicle type, etc.

1) Validity of your credit card.

2) Presentation of supporting documents designated by our company (documents that can verify your identity).

[Supporting documents issued in Japan] One of the following.

• Nippon Rent-A-Car member card (limited to cards with current address confirmed, such as cards with "member's name" and "company name" printed on them, that are within the validity period) / Utility charges (electricity, gas, water, landline telephone)・NHK) Receipt*/Social insurance premium receipt*/National tax/local tax receipt*/Tax payment certificate*/Copy of resident record (without personal number)*/Seal certificate*/Health insurance card/Resident Basic ledger card (with name, date of birth, and address written) / Residence card / Special permanent resident certificate / Employee ID card / Student ID card (with photo) / My number card
• *Documents marked with * among supporting documents must be issued within 2 months.

About Online Credit Card Payment

• When making reservations from NIPPON Rent-A-Car official website or NIPPON Rent-A-Car app, you can use Online Credit Card Payment allows you to pay for the rental car using the credit card you registered at the time of reservation.
• The card that can be registered for Online Credit Card Payment is the credit card of the person making the reservation. Debit cards, prepaid cards, and or similar electronic money cannot be used.
