About Online Credit Card Payment
By registering your credit card when making a rental car reservation on the website or NIPPON Rent-A-Car app, you will no longer need to pay at the store on the day of use.
Online Credit Card Payment can be used by individual customers (NIPPON Rent-A-Car Members Club, reservations without membership registration). Corporate members are not eligible.

If you register your credit card at the time of reservation, you will not need to show your credit card during the procedures on the day.
The procedure time is shortened and smooth!
The actual credit card payment will be made on the rental car pick-up or return date. Payment (debit) will not be made at the time of reservation.
You can also change your reservation details, so you don't have to worry!
If Online Credit Card Payment, the return rate of rental car points will increase by 1%!
You will earn 1 point more per 100 yen than usual.

How to use Online Credit Card Payment
You can easily make Online Credit Card Payment reservations on our website or Nippon Rent-A-Car app.
Customers who log in with their Nippon Rent-A-Car Members Club member ID can register their credit card information in their membership information, eliminating the need to enter their credit card information each time. Please see below for instructions on how to use the website.
Those who have not registered their credit card information
- ①Select payment method
- Select "Online Credit Card Payment" in the "Payment method selection" section during reservation.
- ②Enter card information
- Please enter your credit card number and expiration date.
- Please agree to the "Online Credit Card Payment Terms'' and proceed to the next step.
Nippon Rent-A-Car Members Club (For those who have registered their credit card information)
■Log in to My Page and register your credit card information from "Credit Card Inquiry/Change"
If you are Nippon Rent-A-Car Members Club customer, you can register your credit card information in your membership information so that you do not have to enter your credit card information each time.
Log in to My Page and select "Credit Card Inquiry/Change" to register your credit card information.
■Make an Online Credit Card Payment reservation using the registered credit card information
- Select payment method

- When you log in as a member and proceed to make a reservation, your registered credit card information will be displayed in the "Payment Method Selection" section.

Credit cards that can be used for Online Credit Card Payment
- ・Acceptable credit cards are VISA, Master Card, JCB, Diners Club, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, and their respective affiliated cards.
- ・Online Credit Card Payment can only be made by credit card. Debit cards and prepaid cards are not accepted.
- ・Credit cards with debit card functionality cannot be used. (Example: "Olive" issued by Sumitomo Mitsui Card)
- ・Only credit cards in the name of the person making the reservation are valid.
- ・Credit cards whose expiration date is before the rental car return month cannot be used.
About payment timing
- ・For Online Credit Card Payment, you will be required to register your credit card information at the time of reservation, but the actual payment will be made at the time of pick-up or return of the rental car. (Payment will not be made at the time of reservation)
- ・When registering credit card information at the time of reservation, we perform a "card authentication procedure" and confirm with each credit card company that the credit card is valid for the reservation amount. During this authentication process, the reservation amount will not be charged by your credit card company.
- * Depending on the card you are using, you may receive a usage notification or have the amount displayed on your preliminary statement at the time of the card authentication procedure. Even in that case, the actual payment is not made, so the reservation amount will not be charged by the credit card company.
- ・The above authentication procedure will be performed when making a reservation from the website/app, when the reservation amount changes due to a change to the reservation, and 7 days before pick-up date.
- ・If the final usage amount has not changed since the time of reservation, the usage date will be listed on your credit card statement as 7 days before pick-up (or the reservation date if you made the reservation less than 7 days before departure). This may happen.
Regarding reservation cancellation fees for Online Credit Card Payment
- ・If you cancel your Online Credit Card Payment reservation, you will be charged a reservation cancellation fee as shown below in accordance with the cancellation policy.
- ・However, if you cancel on the day of reservation, there will be no reservation cancellation fee.
- ・Reservation cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card registered at the time of reservation.

*The reservation cancellation fee is limited to 6,000 yen.
*Consumption tax (including local consumption tax) is not charged on reservation cancellation fees.
Notes on using Online Credit Card Payment
- ・To use Online Credit Card Payment, you must agree to the "Online Credit Card Payment Terms''.
- ・For Online Credit Card Payment, the person making the reservation who registered the credit card information must come to the store. If you are unable to visit the store in person, you will not be able to use Online Credit Card Payment.
- ・If you fail the card authentication procedure when making a new reservation using Online Credit Card Payment, you will not be able to obtain the reservation. Additionally, if you fail to complete the authentication procedure 7 days before your pick-up date when changing your reservation, your reservation will remain valid, but you will not be able to use Online Credit Card Payment.
- ・If the credit card registered at the time of credit card payment (on the day of pick-up or return of rental car) cannot be used, Online Credit Card Payment cannot be used. Please pay at the store when completing the rental car pick-up procedure.
- ・Payment notifications for Online Credit Card Payment will be sent to the email address registered at the time of reservation. Please enable receiving emails from "nipponrentacar.co.jp".
- ・You can also use rental car points, d points, and Rakuten points, as well as coupons and complimentary tickets, even when Online Credit Card Payment (excluding products that our company has specified as ineligible, such as outing benefit plans). Please inform the staff at the time of rental car pick-up procedures. You can also use rental car points in advance on the payment method selection screen when making reservations on the web or app.
