Online Credit Card Payment can be used by individual customers. Corporate members are not eligible.

How to use Online Credit Card Payment
You can easily make Online Credit Card Payment reservations on our website.
Customers who log in with their Nippon Rent-A-Car Members Club member ID can register their credit card information in their membership information, eliminating the need to enter their credit card information each time. Please see below for instructions on how to use the website.
Those who have not registered their credit card information

■Log in to My Page and register your credit card information from "Credit Card Inquiry/Change"
If you are Nippon Rent-A-Car Members Club customer, you can register your credit card information in your membership information so that you do not have to enter your credit card information each time.

Credit cards that can be used for Online Credit Card Payment
- ・Acceptable credit cards are VISA, Master Card, JCB, Diners Club, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, and their respective affiliated cards.
- ・For Online Credit Card Payment, credit cards and debit cards can be used. Prepaid cards and any cards that do not support 3D Secure cannot be used.
- *However, certain classes only accept credit cards.
- *Credit cards with debit card functions (such as "Olive" issued by Sumitomo Mitsui Card) will be recognized as debit cards. Please use a different credit card when using certain classes.
- ・Only credit cards in the name of the person (driver) who visits the store and completes the procedure on the day of use can be used for payment.
- ・Credit cards whose expiration date is before the rental car return month cannot be used.
About payment timing
- ・For Online Credit Card Payment, you will be asked to register your credit card information when making a reservation, but the actual payment will be made when pick-up or return the rental car.
- ・When you register your credit card information at the time of reservation, we carry out a "card authentication procedure" to confirm the validity of the credit card for the reservation amount with each card company. During this authentication procedure, the reservation amount will not be charged by the card company (except for debit cards). The timing of the card authentication procedure is as follows.
- ① When making a reservation via the website or app
- ② When making a reservation change that involves a price change
- ③ 7 days before pick-up
- ④ On the day of rental (pick-up or return date) ※Actual payment will only be made at ④.
- ⑤ If 150 days have passed between ① or ② and ③

Card authentication procedures
- ・If you fail the card authentication procedure when making a new reservation using Online Credit Card Payment, you will not be able to obtain the reservation.
- ・When the reservation amount changes due to a change in reservation, re-authentication procedures will be carried out 7 days prior to pick-up date and on the day of rental car use (pick-up date or return date). If you fail the authentication procedures 7 days prior to the pick-up date when changing a reservation, the reservation will be valid, but Online Credit Card Payment will not be available.
- *If you fail the authentication procedure on the day of renting a car, you can still use the car, but you will not be able to make Online Credit Card Payment.
- *If Online Credit Card Payment is not available, please pay at the store when pick-up the rental car.

- ・Due to the feature of debit cards, the funds will be debited at the time of the "card authentication procedure."
- ・Although it may appear that multiple charges have been made from our company at first glance, in the end only the amount for the day of rental car use (pick-up date or return date) or the time of reservation cancellation (if a reservation cancellation fee was incurred) will be debited, and the amount debited at the time of card authentication will be refunded by the card company at a later date.

Regarding reservation cancellation fees for Online Credit Card Payment
- ・If you cancel a reservation that has been paid for Online Credit Card Payment, you will be charged a cancellation fee in accordance with the cancellation regulations. However, if you cancel on the day of the reservation, there will be no cancellation fee.
- ・Reservation cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card registered at the time of reservation.

*Consumption tax (including local consumption tax) is not charged on reservation cancellation fees.
Notes on using Online Credit Card Payment
- ・To use Online Credit Card Payment, you must agree to the "Online Credit Card Payment Terms''.
- ・ For Online Credit Card Payment, the credit card information of the person (driver) who will be visiting the location on the day of use and carrying out the procedure must be registered. If the person cannot visit the location, Online Credit Card Payment cannot be used.
- ・Payment notifications for Online Credit Card Payment will be sent to the email address registered at the time of reservation. Please enable receiving emails from "nipponrentacar.co.jp".
- ・You can use rental car points, d points, Rakuten points, coupons, and coupons for Online Credit Card Payment (excluding products and services that our company has determined are not applicable, such as our Odekake preferential treatment plan). Please inform the staff when you check in to pick-up a car. You can also use rental car points in advance on the payment method selection screen when making a reservation on the web or app.
