microbuses can be operated by those who have either a "medium-sized license" or a "large-sized license." For more information, please see ``Types of licenses and types of cars you can drive'' ``Types of licenses and types of cars you can drive''.

◆About license types
If you have a Japanese driver's license: Anyone with a medium-sized vehicle license or a large vehicle license can drive microbuses.
If you have an international driver's license: microbuses require a stamp in the "D" box.

Universal car

This is a wheelchair-friendly vehicle or a universal car equipped with a device to assist in getting on and off the vehicle. It can be used safely by people with physical disabilities and the elderly.
