Notes on traveling with pets
If you wish to bring a pet with you in your rental car, you must make a reservation in advance. Reservations can be made at your location.
If you are making an online reservation, please contact the pick-up location by phone after making your reservation.
If you do not have a pet reservation, you may be refused the rental car.
[Pets that can ride together]
Applicable to dogs and cats weighing up to 10 kg and staying in cages measuring 70 cm x 90 cm x 75 cm. (Please prepare the cage yourself)
- *The above sizes are approximate. This may not apply to some types of vehicles, such as commercial vehicles, so please contact your location.
- *If you would like a small animal other than a dog or cat, please contact location you use.
- *The cage may be soft or hard, as long as the pet's body does not come out. Please be careful about the safety of your pet.
[Method and location of riding together]
- If your pet is traveling with you, the luggage space and rear floor of the vehicle will be used as the passenger space.
Please use the cage by placing it on the sheet provided at location. Please refrain from allowing pets in the vehicle.
[Limited to vehicle models]
Vehicle models (classes) that allow pets to ride together are limited to those that can secure passenger space. (S-W Class ・ Minivans/Wagon, and isomorphic commercial vehicle Such)
This varies by region and location, so please be sure to contact location when making a reservation.
[Pet riding fee, actual repair/deodorization costs, and business compensation]
The pet ride service fee is 550 yen (tax included) per rental.
However, if significant staining or residual odor is found after use and repair or deodorization is required, an additional 20,000 yen (*consumption Taxes (including local consumption tax) will not be charged.
[Agreement to regulations]
Please read carefully and agree to the "Pet Carriage Consent" established by NIPPON Rent-A-Car.
*You will be asked to sign the rental car upon departure.
*On the day of your visit, please bring the signed "Pet Carriage Consent" downloaded from here.

The above does not apply to riding with assistance dogs (service dogs, etc.).
