1. Legal compliance

When handling customers' personal information, NIPPON Rent-A-Car adheres to laws and in-company rules related to the protection of personal information.

2. Purpose of use

NIPPON Rent-A-Car will acquire customers' personal information (excluding Individual Numbers) for the following uses.
When acquiring customers' personal information (excluding Individual Numbers) for purposes not outlined herein, the purpose of use will be specified in advance.

1) To carry out duties stipulated under law as a licensed rental car business, such as the creation of rental certificates upon formation of a rental contract.

2) To provide customers with rental cars, lease cars and related services.

3) To confirm customers identity.

4) To provide customers with information related to rental cars, used cars and other goods and services handled by our company, special events, sales campaigns, and other items, via direct mailings, emails, and the like.

5) To carry out customer surveys, for planning and development of NIPPON Rent-A-Car products and services, and to increase customer satisfaction.

6) To statistically aggregate and analyse personal information in order to create processed, non-identifying statistical data.

3. Appropriate acquisition

NIPPON Rent-A-Car will not acquire customers' personal information by deception or other inappropriate means.

4. Shared usage

NIPPON Rent-A-Car makes shared used of the following customer personal information (excluding individual numbers) within the scope defined under "2. Purpose of use".
Name, date of birth, sex, address, telephone number, email address, license number, date of license, customer number, workplace details (workplace, position, telephone number, and so on), usage history

5. Sharing information with third parties

NIPPON Rent-A-Car will not share personal information (excluding individual numbers) with third parties, except in the following cases.

3) When doing so is necessary to prevent death, injury or property damage, and acquiring the customer's consent is difficult.

4) When doing so is of particular necessity for improving public health and sanitation, or for promoting the sound development of minors, and acquiring the customer's consent is difficult.

NIPPON Rent-A-Car takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, destruction or harm, and otherwise ensure safe management of personal information handled.

8. Employee training and supervision

When entrusting employees with the handling of personal information, NIPPON Rent-A-Car implements continuous employee training to ensure safe management of information and carries out appropriate supervision.
