The NEXCO Expressway Pass for tourists visiting Japan is a convenient and cost-effective way for travelers to explore the country by car. NEXCO stands for "Japan Expressway Corporation" and manages and operates the expressway network in Japan.

Main features of NEXCO Expressway Pass for tourists:

This pass is offered at a flat price and is a budget-friendly option for travelers who plan to use the highway extensively during their stay.

Passes typically come in the form of cards or vouchers and, once activated, can be used at no additional charge to pass through designated highway toll booths.

By using the NEXCO Expressway Pass, tourists can save both time and money, considering that toll booth fees accumulate quickly.

Caution:

1. ETC card rental is required. If your ETC card is out of stock, you will not be able to request Expressway Pass.
2. Please pay the tolls for bridges at Chubu Nagoya Airport (Chubu Int'l Apt) that are not covered by Expressway Pass.
3. Pick up and return must be at a location where Expressway Pass is accepted.
4. Expressway Pass extensions will not be accepted.
5. Refunds for purchased Expressway Pass will not be granted if return your vehicle early.
6. The Expressway Pass usage period must match the rental car rental period.
7. Kei class (including compact, large and EV) are not eligible. To apply for these passes, please reserve Standard class or higher vehicle.
8. If you have reserved an Expressway Pass along with a rental car and would like to change the pick-up date, return date, or rental location, please contact us at the email address listed below.
